Description

The automotive industry and other sectors are shifting away from fossil fuels, creating a huge demand for high-quality, green batteries. Northvolt is set to become Europe’s leading battery manufacturer through large-scale production, vertical integration, automation and access to renewable energy. The company is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, with gigafactories in Skellefteå, Sweden, and Gdansk, Poland, as well as R&D in Västerås, Sweden. Three more factories are underway, located in Gothenburg and Borlänge, Sweden, and Heide, Germany.
